Rollover crash on Keele north of Wilson, man in hospital

One person is in hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Downsview.

rollover-accident-crashThe crash looks so bad, it seems lucky that only one victim ended up in hospital.

It happened on Keele Street north of Wilson Avenue at around 1:30 p.m.

According to police, the vehicle struck a hydro pole and rolled, coming to rest on top of a second parked vehicle.

Wires were down in the area as a result, Toronto EMS said.

One patient, described by paramedics as an elderly man, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital with serious to life-threatening injuries.

Keele Street was closed in both directions from Wilson Avenue to Calvington Drive for several hours. It reopened shortly before 9 p.m.

We hope that the person in hospital gets well soon and that no residents were affected by any outage or blackout.

It’s a reasonable expectation and one we need to make sure we deliver on.”

Mammoliti found again to have flaunted rules

Not long ago, many pundits were shocked to see former Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro in handcuffs after having been found guilty of running afoul of election spending rules. In our beloved City of Toronto, a similarly ignoramus of ethical rules gets a mere slap on his wrists, where the handcuffs should have been.
