Downsview highrise shooting, man in hospital

One man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the city’s Downsview neighbourhood Wednesday night. It happened at a highrise building on Chalkfarm Drive at around 7 p.m. According to police, the victim was throwing garbage down a chute when he was confronted and shot.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear. 
He was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. 
No suspect information has been provided by police.
